This blog has been in my heart for a long time, and I am humbled at God’s faithfulness in bringing the pieces together. There’s something you will hear me say a lot around here—You are woven beautiful! I thought you might like to know what I mean by that…
Psalm 139 speaks of how our marvelous Creator formed us and shaped us. He wove us together and created us with a good purpose in mind. We are valuable to Him, treasured by Him, and deeply loved by Him.
In a world that often tells us a much different message, it can be challenging to see our true worth–our perspective can get blurry. So what are we to do?
I personally have discovered the comfort and freedom that comes from clinging to God’s truth. The more I spend time with the Lord through reading His Word, praying, and engaging with the Body of Christ—the more healthy my mind, body, and soul become. He is my life source.
Over the years, God has shown me that the word beautiful goes far beyond the physical.
Beautiful is having faith in the Lord.
Beautiful is having eyes to see the needs of a hurting world.
Beautiful is encouraging a friend who needs hope.
Beautiful is offering a stranger a warm smile.
Beautiful is loving people, even those who hurt us.
Beautiful is walking in grace, given by a Savior who took our place.
Beautiful is simply being you.
God is beautiful and He has no limits. We are Him image bearers, created to do great things planned for us to do long ago. While Jesus never promised an easy road, He desires for us to experience life as He intended for us to live it—in the goodness of His design.
Welcome to Woven Beautiful!
