Sometimes I lace up my running shoes and head outdoors to enjoy a run. I am privileged to live in a state where there are endless trails with magnificent scenery. Being in God’s untouched creation, draws me near to His presence. As I run, I often pray. As I run, I often feel Jesus running with me. As I run, I often hear whispers of truth. As I run, I see…
The colorful wildflowers, the sun-kissed mountain tops, the cotton clouds — and it all points me to our Creator.
It’s in those moments that I am reminded that God’s beauty is infinite; it has no boundaries; it’s always available for us to breath in if we would just pause and notice.
We are His creation. He breathed His beauty into us when He made us in His image. His love is imprinted on our hearts. It’s there for us to discover, to embrace, and to make known to the world.
When we live in His love, remain in His love, share His love — beauty shines through us. His beauty.
Contrary to a world that often puts beauty in a box and measures it by a number on a scale or the size of our clothes, the Lord sees us as beautiful just as we are, unique and wonderfully made.
Beauty comes in many shapes, sizes, and personalities.
Beauty shines from the inside out.
Beauty is loving our Creator and loving His creation.
Beauty is being the very essence of who we were created to be.
Beauty breathes life and hope into hurting souls.
Beauty is the rugged cross and the nail pierced hands of our Savior.
Beauty lives in you, in me, in us — because it first lived in Him.
You, deal Soul, are woven beautiful because of Him. All because of Him.
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. -Nehemiah 9:6 (NIV)
