Verse of Reflection:
Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
those he gathered from the lands,
from east and west, from north and south.
~Psalm 107: 2-3 (NIV)
Share. That’s the word God gave me a few years ago before I started blogging. My son was a baby at the time and I would sometimes use his naptime to write. Through writing, I began to find the courage to share the joys and trials of my unique story and what God’s teaching me through it all. God has created mountains of beauty from the heaps of ashes in my life. It’s humbling to tell of all He’s done.
The power of story is seen throughout the Bible. God reveals Himself to us through stories that tell of His mercy, grace, faithfulness, truth, power, love, joy, patience, peace, and so many other things. When we’ve been changed by the power of God’s amazing love, our lives exhale hope to the world. The unfolding of our stories are a part of His greater story.
Some of the details of our lives may seem insignificant to us, but we have a Magnificent God who works the details together for good. Sometimes it’s the little details of our stories that make the biggest impact in the lives of others. Regardless of what the journey has looked like, we each have an important story to tell.
Whatever your story is, be encouraged. One story can change many lives. Remember the 12 disciples? Today, there are billions of Christians around the world.
Prayer: Dear Father, Thanks for the unique story that You have given each of us, and thanks that we are a part of Your greater story. Help us to have the courage to tell our stories and to spread seeds of hope. May You be magnified in our stories and may Your Kingdom continue to multiply as we share the stories You’re writing for our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
