Introducing Jeremiah John Bollinger

I think all of Heaven must have rejoiced when he let out that first cry. I know I did. After all the praying, tears, uncertainty, waiting, and more than 40 weeks of pregnancy…

I beheld a miracle in my arms.

Jeremiah John Bollinger. 7 pounds and 20 inches of pure delight.

On the car ride to the hospital, an overwhelming sense of peace washed over me. Once we arrived at the hospital, I witnessed the hand of God in all the details. I prayed for the right midwife to be on call and to be under the care of the right nurses, and God answered that prayer. I prayed for a natural birth experience and that I wouldn’t panic like a I did with my firstborn, and God answered that prayer. Rather than staying in bed the majority of the time, I took a warm bath with dim lighting and worship music playing. I walked the halls. And I spent a lot of time on my knees using the birthing ball. I breathed through my contractions rather than fighting them and hyperventilating and it was such a different experience than with my firstborn.

And then I knew it was getting close to time to push.

The pain and pressure was becoming so great it almost took my breath away. My husband went to find the midwife and everything went so quickly from there, and a whole group of people came rushing into the room and I knew all the waiting would soon be over.

I moaned and groaned through those last contractions and endured the intensifying pain knowing that it had a purpose. I didn’t think I was going to make it at one point, but everyone kept telling me how amazing I was doing.

And then at 4:40 a.m. on November 1, 2017, Jeremiah greeted the world hello.

The wait was over and I breathed in the beauty rising from the ashes as I held my newest son close to my skin.

Pure joy. Pure grace from above. A Holy moment and memory I will forever keep close.

God answered my prayers and the prayers of many others. His timing is absolutely perfect and His ways are always the best. He is a faithful Good Father and He heard the desires of my heart.

Now I am a blessed mama to two precious sons—

Two precious miracles from the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
